New Zealand Group Trip 2027 — Deposit Terms

Deposit Terms v1.0 · 23 October 2026

These Deposit Terms apply when you pay a deposit for the New Zealand Group Trip, 2–12 April 2027 ("the trip"). Full Booking Terms & Conditions and a Participant Agreement & Release will follow; see section 3.

1. Your deposit

Who you're paying

Your deposit is paid to Bryce Campbell and Jared Kreiss ("we", "us", "the hosts"). We are forming KC Adventure Co., LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company, to run the trip. Once it is formed, your booking, your payments and all of our rights and obligations transfer to KC Adventure Co., LLC automatically, without further notice, and references to "we" and "us" mean KC Adventure Co., LLC from that date. You agree to that transfer now. Until then, your booking is with us personally and your deposit is held for the trip.

What the deposit does

A $500 deposit holds one place on the trip at the price tier current when we receive it. Your tier is locked from that moment. Places are allocated in the order deposits are received.

SpotsPrice per person (USD)
First 3$4,700
Next 3$4,800
Last 2$4,900

The price covers ten nights of accommodation, transport within the itinerary, airport pickup and drop-off, the Milford Sound cruise, the Queenstown gondola, three group dinners and breakfast most mornings. Flights, travel insurance, other meals and optional activities are not included. The full Booking Terms & Conditions will set out inclusions and exclusions in detail.

2. Refunds

Your deposit is fully refundable until 14 December 2026, or for 14 days after we receive it, whichever is later. Deposits paid on or after 14 December 2026 are non-refundable from the moment they're paid. To cancel in the window, email us; we'll refund you within 14 days of confirming, less any card processing fees we can't recover.

After that window, the deposit is non-refundable, whatever the reason: illness, work, visa or passport problems, flight prices, a change of mind. Once you've accepted the full Booking Terms & Conditions, their cancellation policy applies instead of this section.

Why: we commit to houses, vehicles and the cruise months ahead, and most of that money is non-refundable to us. Travel insurance exists for exactly this; buy it soon after paying your deposit, since many policies only cover pre-existing conditions or offer cancel-for-any-reason cover if bought within 14 to 21 days of your first trip payment.

If we cancel the trip (section 4), you get your deposit back regardless of the window.

3. The full terms are coming

By 1 December 2026 we'll send you two documents to sign electronically: the Booking Terms & Conditions (payment schedule, cancellation policy, insurance requirements, what happens if plans change) and the Participant Agreement & Release (the risks of the trip, the rules, and your release of claims against us). Everyone travelling must sign both.

Both must be signed by 14 December 2026. If you choose not to accept them, tell us by that date and we'll cancel your booking and refund your deposit in full, less any card fees we can't recover. If you haven't signed by 14 December and haven't told us you're declining, we'll remind you once, and after a further 7 days we may release your place and treat your deposit as forfeited.

If you book on or after 14 December 2026, you'll sign both documents at the time of booking, and this section doesn't apply to you: your deposit is non-refundable as set out in section 2.

Once you accept the full Booking Terms & Conditions, they replace these Deposit Terms.

4. What else you should know now

The rest of the price

The first installment is due by 14 December 2026, together with your signed documents, and the balance by 1 February 2027, in one payment or in installments; the schedule is in the full terms. Any installment date that has already passed when you book is payable when you accept the full terms.

Insurance

Travel and medical insurance, including emergency evacuation, will be a condition of travelling. The full terms set the minimum cover.

If we cancel

The trip needs at least 4 participants. If we cancel it for any reason before you've accepted the full terms, we refund your deposit in full, less any card fees we can't recover, and that is the limit of what we owe you. Please don't book non-refundable flights until we confirm the trip is going ahead, which we'll do by 1 February 2027 at the latest.

Card fees

Payments by card carry a 3% processing fee, added to your final bill. Bank transfer (ACH) has no fee.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a deposit payment with your card issuer instead of emailing us, we'll treat it as a cancellation on the date the dispute is raised, and these refund terms apply.

Basics

You must be 18 or older to book. Prices are in US dollars. We may decline a booking before the full terms are accepted, in which case we refund your deposit in full. These Deposit Terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
